  41. Well....some bad news...
  42. The only things currently available are Alynx, a port of Lynx, which is a 
  43. text based browser...
  44. If you have a shell account on your ISP, then they probably have this.  
  45. It can be configured to download graphics and display them with an 
  46. external program, but none of those fancy inlines.
  47. And, there was a version of Amosaic out there that worked for the 2.0 
  48. machines...but its hard to find now, and doesnt support a lot.  
  49. Again, no inlined graphics.  You can show the graphics, but it takes 
  50. longer, and will be on a seperate screen.  And Amosaic doesnt support 
  51. e-mail, or tables, etc...
  52. But it DOES have the LOOK of graphic browsers...
  53. Mouse driven, variable sized fonts, etc...
  54. Not to bad, in my opinion...

  57. Finally, there is a third option...
  58. You could upgrade to OS3.0, and use Ibrowse, Amosaic or AWEB.  They use a 
  59. feature of 3.0 called Dataytypes to display the inlined graphics...
  60. Pretty nifty.  None of them are up to par with some of the PC or Mac 
  61. browsers yet, but give them a little time...
  62. Hell, AWeb ought to be fantastic in a few months!
  63. OS 3.1 should be available for around 100 - 150 dollars....
  64. A lot cheaper than getting a new machine.

  66. With your accelerator and the 6 megs of ram, you should be in decent shape...
  67. Depends, really, on how FAST the accelerator is (you didnt say) and how 
  68. fast your modem is...
  69. I've only got 4 megs of ram, and a 25 mhz accelerator with a '030 in it, 
  70. and a 28.8 modem...
  71. Looks nice to me....
  72. Not as fast as the pentium at work, but really nice!
  73. And I use Aweb, which is faster than any of the others....
